Day 1: LA PAZ- LAKE TITICACA- COPACABANA- MOON ISLAND- SUN ISLAND

By road from La Paz to Copacabana on the shore of Lake Titicaca. Arrival in Copacabana and visit the Sanctuary and the Black Virgin. Hydrofoil cruise to The Moon Island to visit the Temple of the Virgins of the Sun, or Iñak Uyu. The second stop is The Sun Island to visit the Pilcocaina temple. Walk with llamas to the hotel. Lunch and afternoon free to explore the surrounding area. Dinner and overnight stay at Posada del Inca Eco-Lodge.

Day 2: SUN ISLAND- CRUISE TO HUATAJATA

Morning free. A midday walk up the great Inca stairway to see sacred spring: its underground waters grant youth and eternal happiness. Lunch is served in Uma Kollu Archaeological Restaurant. Visit the small handicrafts market. Hydrofoil cruise to Huatajata. Visit the Andean Roots Eco-Village, the Altiplano Museum, the artisans village, mud igloos and the funeral towers of the Urus Chipayas. Finally, a meeting with the Limachi family, builders of the RA II and Tigris, vessels used in expeditions to cross the Atlantic.

In the evening there will be a son et lumière called the Mystical World of the Kallawayas, involving well-known Bolivian shamans who believe that the soul must be cured before the body. Our Kallawaya Tata Banjo blesses the travellers and reads the coca leaves. A welcome aperitif and a candle-lit dinner.
