Mission
To offer warm and high-quality experiences. Respect and the promotion of Bolivia’s cultural and native heritage are key components of our work via honest, sustainable and modern cultural exchange.
Vision
To position ourselves as the leading travel company in the region, pioneering experiences that promote our cultural and environmental wealth, with creative adventures based on responsibility and solidarity and our team’s vocation for service.
LAKE TITICACA
Can you imagine cruising Lake Titicaca in a private vessel? Stop at your favourite islands and stroll around them without pressure or interruptions? Our six hydrofoils on the main lake and one exclusively for six people on the small lake are at your disposal and offer daily departures from both Peru and Bolivia. They ensure plenty of comfort and the best panoramic views. These vessels incorporate the latest technology for navigation and are continually upkeeped, as our priority is the safety and comfort of our passengers. They are the best option for exploring the sacred lake of the Incas, that is so big it seems like an inland sea and keeps the ancestral secrets of communities who have preserved their heritage jealously and carefully. We offer luxury private and charter cruises on the only vessels certified to international standards on Lake Titicaca.
HUATAJATA, LAKE TITICACA
- Andean Roots Eco-Village. This is a joint project with our native neighbours in Huatajata and presents ancient traditions and the daily customs of the Aymara Nation in workshops and exhibitions. You can also get to know the legendary Limachi brothers, builders of totora reed boats used on a number of scientific expeditions.
- The Altiplano Museum. Introduction to local culture and history through different displays that guide you through the development of the cultures that lived -and live- around Lake Titicaca.
- The Mystical World of the Kallawayas. An evening experience in which you will learn about the natural medicine used by the healers or ‘shamans’ of the Andes. A senior Kallawaya will conduct the fire ceremony whilst reading the future of anyone curious to know it in the coca leaves.
- Alajpacha Native Observatory. A space in which you can learn a little more about the heavens and the special cosmovision of the Andean people, including a map used by the ancients when making decisions about local agriculture. Two telescopes have been donated by NASA for observing the constellations.
