- As of August 1, 2023, the Health Authorities of Bolivia HAVE LIFTED THE SANITARY EMERGENCY, hence the COVID vaccine will no longer be mandatory when entering Bolivia. Similarly, the use of masks will no longer be required. Please feel free to use them whenever you wish, especially if you have cold symptoms, but it is not obligatory.
- YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION IS ONLY RECOMMENDED, especially if you plan to visit areas inside the jungle. IT IS NOT MANDATORY.
- VALID PASSPORT with at least 3 blank pages for entry and exit stamps.
- HOTEL VOUCHER sent by our Receptive Tourism department, which will be provided before the passenger’s arrival.
- Fill out the CUSTOMS FORM 250 by hand before arriving in Bolivia, or you can complete it online.
- A TOURIST VISA may be required for certain nationalities. It can be obtained at any Bolivian Consulate, online, or preferably at any point of entry to Bolivia, which takes approximately 15 minutes and is easier to obtain if all the required documents are provided. Please inform us of the passengers’ nationalities so we can send the Visa application forms if need it.
REQUIREMENTS FOR USA TOURISTS VISA TO BOLIVIA
- The VISA FOR US CITIZENS is valid for ten (10) years, allowing multiple entries. The cost is US$160.00 as part of a reciprocity protocol between the US and Bolivia, payable in US dollar bills in good condition or by VISA or MASTER CARD credit/debit card.
- A HOTEL VOUCHER provided by CRILLON TOURS specifying all the confirmed hotels where visitors will be staying during their visit to Bolivia.
- VISA APPLICATION FORM, request it from CRILLON TOURS, please do not affix the photos.
- 1 PASSPORT-SIZE PHOTO, 40×40 or 50X50., white or red background colour
- PHOTOCOPY OF THE PASSPORT.
- PHOTOCOPY OF THE OUTBOUND TICKETS IF DEPARTING BY AIR.
- Proof of ECONOMIC SOLVENCY, which can be in the form of a sworn declaration, and can also be backed by an ATM receipt. If a couple or a family group has a single sworn declaration or ATM receipt, please make a copy for each person, as this document will be kept in the personal file held by Immigration.
REQUIREMENTS FOR GROUP II TOURIST VISA TO BOLIVIA
The requirements to obtain the Visa for citizens of Group 2 are exactly the same as for US citizens, except for the cost and the duration of stay, which is valid for a single entry only.
- The VISA FOR TOURISTS OF GROUP 2 is valid for three (3) months. The fee is approximately US$105 payable in Bolivian pesos or with VISA or MASTER CARD credit/debit card. The fee is calculated based on the UFV, a daily reference index calculated according to inflation and published daily by the Central Bank of Bolivia. In 2023, Bolivia has the lowest accumulated inflation in the region, and the UFV has daily minimal increases in Bolivian cents.
